Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited the spot while investigating 5 people in the Bengaluru restaurant blast case.
Two bomb blasts took place one after the other at Rameshwaram Cafe, a popular restaurant in the Whitefield area of Bengaluru, Karnataka. 9 people were injured in this.
While the National Investigation Agency is investigating the case, CCTV footage of the person planting the bomb in the restaurant has been obtained. Based on that it seems that 5 people are being investigated.
In this case, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah went to the hospital and inquired about the well-being of the people injured in the blast. Subsequently, police officials went to the Rameshwaram cafe where the blast took place and briefed Siddaramaiah about the status of the investigation and clues to the incident.
Siddaramaiah said the investigation into the blast was being expedited and urged the BJP not to politicize it. In such a situation, the case has been transferred to the Municipal Corporation Crime Branch.
After the Bengaluru bomb incident, the state intelligence agency has ordered to intensify surveillance across Tamil Nadu. Police have been ordered to increase surveillance, especially in public places.
